My favorite story about working with Domenic involved a winery where they make dry wines from Vinifera varietals, semi dry wines from Vinifera and hybrid grapes, and sweet fruit wines that pay the bills. This winery is located in the lower East. The issue they were having was with maintaining color and fruit in the nose in one of their wines. One call to Domenic to introduce him to the customer made me look like I have some good connections! Domenic was able to fix the problem with an email. There is simply no substitute for knowledge. And I am certain that I cannot find a customer with an enological issue Domenic couldn’t handle.
